Guides to launch and run your academy

Your academy is live within minutes. Every academy gets its own branded workspace.

• Go to /register and create your academy with a name and your admin account.
• Choose your segment: Individual, Training Institute, School or University. This sets the plans and features that fit you.
• Follow the onboarding wizard to add your branding and first details.
• Pick a plan. The Individual Starter plan is free, so you can explore before you commit.

Courses are made of modules, and modules are made of lessons.

• Create a course, add a title, description and category.
• Add modules, then add lessons: video, rich text, quiz or assignment.
• Drag to reorder, attach files, mark lessons as free preview and set prerequisites.
• Upload videos and watch the processing status until they are ready to stream.
• Add translations of your content for other languages if you need them.
• Publish the course when it is ready. Students only see published courses.

Each person gets a role: owner, admin, teacher, student or parent, with granular permissions.

• Send invitations by email from the admin area.
• Enroll students into courses one by one, or use bulk enrollment via CSV on plans that include it.
• Schools can link parents to their children so they can follow progress and grades.
• Institutions can organize people into divisions, class sections, cohorts and academic terms, depending on the plan.

• Upload your logo and set your brand colors.
• Your academy is available on its own subdomain from day one.
• On plans that include it, connect a custom domain and point your DNS to Aula.
• White-label plans remove the platform branding so learners only see yours.

• Set a price on a course and learners pay through Stripe checkout.
• Create coupons for launches, partners or promotions.
• Connect instructor payout accounts to receive earnings.
• On plans with the marketplace, list courses in the public catalog so new learners can find them.

Teach live in the browser, with no extra software for students.

• Schedule a live class and it appears in the calendar of enrolled students.
• Students join from the web or the mobile apps.
• Record sessions and attendance is taken automatically.
• Prefer Zoom? Use the Zoom integration instead.
• The number of live seats depends on your plan.

Connect Aula to the systems your organization already uses.

• SSO: set up SAML or OIDC single sign-on. Users can also sign in with Google, GitHub or Microsoft.
• LTI 1.3: launch Aula as a tool from another learning platform.
• REST API: create API keys in the admin area and call the public API. Request limits depend on your plan.
• Webhooks: subscribe to events and receive them on your own endpoint.

Aula has native iOS and Android apps, not web wrappers. They are included in every plan.
